stupid idiots spoil my day yest.. din feel like blogging except to rant abt them..
anyway, back to yesterday. was studying at woodlands regional library with kelly.. made me think back to abt 3 yrs ago. (we went there to study also mah... 3 looooong years ago. )
halfway, my mum called. tell me they were at borneo motors looking at cars. whether i wan to go down to test drive.. so down i went.. test drove the altis. den sat there while they drew up the booking fee, loan details, car ownership n all in me name.. 
yeah i knw.. coz it's in my name, insurance will be fu*king high.. sky high! 
like $2k a year? if under my dad or mum's name would be... barely $1k?? 
but they were thinking abt it n thot in the long run, it would be better to be under me.. here's the explanation...
under either party, the NCB will be 0%. so only premium is the difference.. but if put under their name, if sway sway *touch wood* kena accident, will have to pay excess... which will amount to abt $2k. now if the car was under my name, coz my premium so high already, excess shld be lower.. plus, in abt 5 yrs, if we decide to change car, i'd have chalked up 50% ncb!  plus.. first year already 0% NCB. dun have to worry abt paying the accident charges ourselves to retain NCB mah..
basically... they're doing all that with the expectation that i'll kena accident in the next yr lah! 
aiyah.. however, when i was talking to my mum abt car, she said that they'd pay for the car only. meaning road tax, insurance, maintenance, petrol, etc, etc muz be borne by me.. now under my name.. insurance so fu*king high! how?!?! 
haven't talk to them abt this ah.. dunno lor.. hope i can afford ah. or can work smth out..

can u believe it? i'm ashamed to be a youth. yes! ashamed!
can't believe some pple can be so fu*king rude!
i was at chong pang. waiting in a crowded carpark for a lot. i see one car coming out so i go further ahead n stop my car. flashing my hazard lights to indicate i'm waiting for that slot. (isn't that wat everybody do?  ) so he come out liao den i start to reverse in. i went slowly coz i was wary of cars coming in..
and along comes this NISSAN MARCH! (so bloody small!!!!  ) and in one swift move, he parks his car. 
WTH!!!
is he blind? fu*king blind? cannot see i waiting there?!?! i was driving my parents' car. so big also cannot see? stupid bugger. think his car small can park faster so can steal my place?  
so here's his car: (17 Apr 5pm: i'll upload the photo when my laptop can receive IR.. bloody thing is acting up.. barely able to use. but will keep it as it is for now coz i need to study! )
take a good look. black list it. steal his place next time!

i spend time researching tdy. find out OMV of civic vs altis. then go check 2nd hand car classifieds. find civic and altis asking price with respect to age..
hard to find. coz altis relatively new car. oldest also 2004 onli wat.
civic around for so long. go thru so many face lifts.. only ads i see are for '02 civic. none abt '03 or '04. means newest ones also noone selling ah.. nothing wrong sell for wat! such a good car mah. haha.. altis newest on sale is only 8 months old lor!! if wanna sell so soon den buy for wat?!?!? right? tells u something quite subtley no?
nvm. wat i find out is asking price is not really different lor. hard to compare but extrapolate a bit. guesstimate a bit lah..
so i decide to talk to my parents. coz i think they misunderstood. i think they think i knw can get car den start demanding what i want. regardless of what the person paying feels. WTF!!! it's like EVERYONE KNWS I FEEL PRIVILEGED I CAN GET A CAR.. EXCEPT THEM LOR!

is this car THAT bad?
before u carry on reading, let me juz say i knw that i'm lucky my dad is willing to buy me a car. however!!! it does not come without a price. petrol, maintenance, road tax, insurance muz all be covered by me. and it's not cheap btw...
that's the car i want. based on what i have read about it.. months spent driving it while learning to get my license. 
but i MOST probably won't get to choose the car i get. all coz my dad is against that brand and model.
why??
whew... here goes...
Main Reason:
due to not so popular demand, in 2-3 years time when selling the car, it would not be able to fetch a high enough price. meaning, my dad will lose more money than if he bought an altis and sold it in 2-3 years time.
right.. here are the flaws he pointed out...
it has rear leading trailing shoe drum brakes. not disc brakes. dun ask me wats the diff lah. unfortunately i don't knw. but thats one.
secondly, the interior, while the flat floor in the rear seats is a plus, it was overlooked by my dad. instead, he pointed out that the auto gear lever and hand brake were old fashioned. and the aircon knobs reminded him of his older cars... 
but thats what i liked about the interior!!! it's simple. classy. y not??
he's looking at the altis. he says he dun mind paying more for wood grain interior. i told him i dun like. i prefer one colour like black. first he says good. save him that money. then he goes on to say next time when wan to sell? the potential buyer will look n say.. "oh. it's not wood grain panels ah?" and will not be interested liao..
HUH?!?! got such thing meh?
which is the MAIN FACTOR when buying a car? u LIKE the car? or that the car can sell next time? yes, the second one is important. but shouldn't be as important as being the main reason right? if not any car is ok, even if u dun like it. as long as next time can sell can already?
so he challenge me. i give him a written guarantee that i'll drive that car for 10 years. i can't give that promise. but if i have nothing to complain about the car, i dun see y i can't drive it for 10 years then scrap it right? if u like smth, u'll want to hold on to it as long as possible. if i like the car, i dun see y i can't. but can i give him that guarantee? i dunno.. 
but if this carries on, i knw which car he'll be getting. yes. any car is good for me. but if it's not something i really really want then that changes many things right?
someone shld knock some sense into me. but no one likes to settle for second best unless absolutely necessary right? same lah. me also wat.. i want smth, i dun wan to settle for second choice unless got no other choice lah.. but it seems i got no choice lah..
on another note, y does my mum think i'm making things difficult? that i dun take into account wat other pple think? so she sees me as such a selfish person izzit? IZZIT?  
if that's the case den i really have got nothing to say... i'm not asking for the moon and the stars wat. if not y didn't i ask for a Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR? y not the Honda Integra Type R which is wat i really want? oh well.........

i, like you, was asked by a friend to watch. my friend insisted i
finish the whole video as i'm a guy.
i was cursing and swearing throughout the video. i CANNOT believe a
human being can be so cruel. it is one thing to kill an animal for
it's meat and then use it's fur for other uses. BUT THIS IS SKINNING
THE POOR ANIMAL WHILE IT'S ALIVE AND THROWING IT AWAY!
it's different. it's CRUEL..
is it so necessary to have to fur so FRESH that they absolutely CANNOT
kill the animal before skinning? or is it that they just couldn't be
bothered to kill the animal first? whatever the case... i juz can't
believe a human can be that cruel to another living thing..
after watching the video. i felt compelled to do something. anything..
that is within my ability.. to make a difference in this war. this
fight.. to save thousands, if not millions of creatures which do not
have the ability to save themselves from the fate they find themselves
in. i now extend my hand to you. to join me.. in my quest for
something to be done.
people. i am but one dot in the sea of human beings. there is only SO
MUCH i can do. so what i'm doing is to bring this to the attention to
more people. then maybe. juz MAYBE.. our voices can be united enough.
to be heard. so something ELSE.. something more concrete.. more
