Farewell For LCDR Rajesh

this few pictures show the night we had a little function for our navigation teacher, Lieutanent Commander Rajesh who's from the Indian Navy.. his "stint" here is over, after abt 2 years.. dun need to say much lah hor.. say much also not everyone of u who sees this page will understand? haha. den all my fellow batch mates will not need me to say more mah. haha..

went out tdy with my best friend.. bernard..
den took photos with my camera lor.. the first was taken while i was eating my late lunch at a foodcourt at cuppage plaza (i think that's wat it's called..)
den the other 5 were taken while we were sitting at the food place in heeren.. we were waiting for nic thinking he was on his way but when we called him, he was still at home!!! looked at bern's bored bored face.. haha...

These pictures were taken JUZ BEFORE our formal officer of the day rounds.. one of the rare times it's conducted.. this is juz like the army equivalent of stand by bed.. where everything and EVERYTHING muz be spick and span, dust free and in standarised position.. sounds tough? haha..
the corridor shots were taken when everyone posed and stand juz as though waiting for officer to come to inspect... i was the deck ic, standing at the middle of both corridors waiting to report on behalf of the deck..
stood there for over 2 hours lor !~!~!
den after that still had fire drill ah!!! wah laoz...

tmrw got comms test.. on fleetwork.. kaoz.. a lot to study sia.. took some photos in betw.. juz to show a bit lah.. not many lor.. so busy! ended up sleeping only at 3 am sia.. den 5 am wake up for the day liaoz.. life in MIDS Wing is lydat lor.. less sleep, even lesser sleep and NO sleep!!

tdy we were studying for our 8th Rules of the Road Test in MIDS Wing.. stress ah.. passing mark is 90%!!! 
oh well.. here's a picture of my fren studying...
plus 2 more photos of a few friends goofing around, de-stressing ourselves..
this is the 1st of 2 tests this week.. n considerably the easier wan we think... haha..

our whole morning was taken up giving them an introduction to MIDS Wing in OCS and to have a interacting session with them... i only managed to take one photo with the group i was talking with juz b4 they had to leave..

Ship Handling Simulator at Singapore Polytechnic..

tdy my division went to sg poly for our SHS.. it is for us to practise our skills in an as realistic as possible environment, but with less pressure than if doing the real thing.. there, we practise with as much concentration and seriousness as if it were actual but at the bottom of everything, we knw that if anything goes wrong, like we encounter a collision or run aground, this is only a simulator and it will serve to help us learn from our mistakes. mistakes that we can make only at SHS and not in real life...
in BNT, we had 1 SHS and then, our basics like voice procedure was not even there so the simulator was quite stressful. but after MSTD, we've (almost!) perfected our basics and SHS has become more relaxed as compared to the real thing. maybe it's becoz we control everything ourselves while onboard ship, there's always the ship's crew to guide us..
anyway, now in ANT, we have sorties and SHS to hone our skills and SHS has become like a game. haha. but we still take it seriously lah!!!!
so...in the 7 photos attached, 6 were taken when my division mates were IN ACTION. only ONE was posed.. can u tell which one it is? hahaha... 0)

whew.. sat is finally here.. it's been a loooong week. haha. dunno y this week feels so long. maybe it's coz of the 2 sorties den we had to prepare and slept very late a few nights so end up feel so long. haha. maybe ah.. well. finally it's over, and it's liberty! haha..
